Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern the websites, applications, APIs, account systems, study tools, libraries, and other services operated by TrinityApologetics that link to them. We call these products the “Trinity Services.” They include TrinityApologetics, TrinityBible, TrinityLibrary, The Concord Project, IsMeansIs, Trinity Accounts and TrinityNotes, and the APIs that support them.

By accessing or using a Trinity Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Trinity Services.

You must be able to form a binding agreement where you live. If you use a Trinity Service for a church, school, ministry, business, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

A Trinity account can connect several Trinity Services through one sign-in. Depending on the service, you may use an email and password, a linked identity provider, or multi-factor authentication. You may also authorize another Trinity Service to use your account through OAuth.

Give us accurate information, protect your credentials and devices, and tell us through the legal contact address once it is posted if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless the law says otherwise.

You can disconnect linked Trinity applications and sign out of sessions from account settings. A self-service account deletion tool is not available at this time. See the Privacy Policy for deletion requests.

Use the Trinity Services lawfully and with respect for other people, their work, and the systems that make the services available. You may not:

• break the law or violate another person’s rights;
• harass, threaten, deceive, impersonate, or exploit another person;
• upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or material that infringes rights;
• gain access to an account, system, or data without permission;
• bypass access controls, rate limits, quotas, or security measures;
• interfere with service operation or place an unreasonable load on infrastructure;
• scrape, crawl, copy, or automate access in a way that violates published instructions or harms the service; or
• use a Trinity Service to develop, train, or benchmark a competing product from protected content unless we give written permission or the law permits it.

Good-faith security research must stay within applicable law and must not expose, alter, or retain another person’s information.

You keep your rights in notes, annotations, highlights, bookmarks, profile details, and other content you create. You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, format, transmit, and process that content only as needed to operate, secure, synchronize, export, and improve the Trinity Services you use.

You must have the right to submit your content. Do not place confidential information in a note or AI query unless you are comfortable with the processing described in the Privacy Policy. Guest study data may remain only on your device; clearing browser storage can erase it.

TrinityApologetics owns or licenses its names, logos, original writing, software, interface designs, databases, and other original material. These Terms let you use the Trinity Services for personal, educational, church, or ministry study. They do not transfer ownership or grant a right to sell, republish, or redistribute protected material.

Open-source components remain governed by their own licenses. A page, download, or API response may state additional permissions or limits for a specific resource.

TrinityBible and TrinityLibrary include Bible translations, lexicons, historical works, source notes, public-domain material, and content supplied under third-party licenses. The status of one work does not apply to the entire collection. Public-domain material may be reused as the law allows, but introductions, metadata, formatting, annotations, scans, or translations can carry separate rights.

Copyright and attribution notices shown with a work are part of the conditions for using it. Do not remove them. Where translation or source metadata conflicts with a general statement in these Terms, the notice attached to that material controls.

TrinityBible’s Ask & Find feature uses an AI provider to suggest Bible references from a query. AI output can be incomplete, mistaken, or unsuitable for a particular question. Check the cited passage and its context before relying on a result.

AI output is an aid for study, not pastoral, theological, legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Do not use it for emergencies or decisions where an error could cause harm. We may limit, change, label, or withdraw experimental features as we learn how they perform.

Our APIs and download tools support the Trinity Services and permitted personal use. Published documentation, access credentials, quotas, rate limits, attribution rules, and content licenses form part of these Terms.

Do not share private credentials, conceal request volume, defeat quotas, bulk-extract protected works, or use an API in a way that threatens availability. We may rotate credentials, throttle requests, change an endpoint, or block abusive traffic. Downloads remain subject to the rights notice for the source material.

Some Trinity Services accept one-time support payments and recurring monthly or yearly support through Stripe. The amount, currency, billing interval, and any supporter access are shown before checkout. A support payment does not give ownership, governance, editorial control, or a promise that a project will continue.

Recurring support renews until canceled. You can manage or cancel it through the Stripe customer portal when that option is available. Cancellation affects future renewals and does not undo a charge already processed.

[OWNER INPUT REQUIRED: Refund policy and whether any contribution is represented as tax-deductible.] Nothing in these Terms limits refund or cancellation rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

The Trinity Services depend on providers for identity, payments, databases, storage, content delivery, hosting, security, and AI processing. They also link to sites we do not operate. A third party’s own terms and privacy policy govern its service.

We do not endorse every view or claim on an external site, and we are not responsible for its availability, content, or practices. Your dealings with a third party are between you and that party.

We work to keep the Trinity Services useful and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access or permanent availability of a feature, work, translation, endpoint, or saved format. Maintenance, provider outages, security events, licensing changes, and project development can affect access.

We may add, change, suspend, or retire a Trinity Service. Where practical, we will give notice before a change that has a major effect on paid access or synchronized user data.

You may stop using the Trinity Services at any time. You may ask us to close your account or delete eligible personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe an account violates these Terms, threatens security, infringes rights, exposes us or others to legal risk, or harms the service. When circumstances permit, we will explain the reason and offer a chance to correct the problem.

Terms that must continue to work after termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions, remain in effect.

To the extent the law permits, the Trinity Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that every text, citation, search result, translation label, historical record, AI result, or technical feature is complete, accurate, current, or free from error.

The Trinity Services provide educational and study resources. They do not replace Scripture itself, the care of a church or pastor, or advice from a qualified professional. Some laws give you warranties that cannot be excluded; those rights remain yours.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrinityApologetics and its operators, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from the Trinity Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for a claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the affected Trinity Service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100. These limits do not apply where the law forbids them.

If you use a Trinity Service for an organization or in a commercial activity, you agree to defend and indemnify TrinityApologetics from third-party claims caused by your unlawful use, your content, or your material breach of these Terms. This duty does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own conduct or where applicable law does not allow it.

Before filing a formal claim, you and TrinityApologetics agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue through the contact information below. This does not prevent either side from seeking urgent relief or using a right that cannot be waived.

We may revise these Terms when the Trinity Services, law, or our operating practices change. We will post the revised Terms here and change the “Last updated” date. If a change has a material effect on registered users, we may also provide notice in the service or by email.

Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Trinity Services and ask us to close your account if you have one.

A Trinity Service may present extra terms for a feature, licensed collection, beta, promotion, API plan, or paid offering. Those terms supplement this master document. If there is a direct conflict, the service-specific term controls only for the feature or service it addresses.

Headings help navigation and do not limit a provision. If one provision cannot be enforced, the rest remain in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver.
