So here is my Defense that Mary is The Mother of God (and also some orthodox christology lessons): Keep in mind, when I say Mary is The Mother of God, I am not saying she created Jesus' divine nature or she created Jesus.
So here is my Defense that Mary is The Mother of God (and also some orthodox christology lessons): Keep in mind, when I say Mary is The Mother of God, I am not saying she created Jesus' divine nature or she created Jesus.

But what I am saying is that since Jesus' two natures are united, you can say Mary is The Mother of God, because Mary is the Mother of Jesus, Jesus is God. Therefore Mary is The Mother of God.

The first argument will be from Luke 1:43: "And why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me?"
Here in Greek, the word for Lord (Kyrios) was used in the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the old testament) to refer to YHWH (God), and since Luke in chapter 1 frequently uses the word Kyrios to refer to God, it is reasonable to conclude Elizabeth in Luke 1:43 was recognizing that the baby in Mary's womb was YHWH.

The second Argument will be from John 1:1: John 1:1 says "In the beginning was the Word [Jesus], and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." and in John 1:14 it says "The Word [Jesus] became flesh and made his dwelling among us.".
So we see from that verse, is that the Word [Jesus] who was and is fully God took upon himself a human nature, but is still God. But for the Word [Jesus] to become flesh, he had to take his human nature from somewhere. That somewhere is Mary, who conceived Jesus in her womb by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Now since we established that:
#1 The Word [Jesus] is God
#2 Mary gave birth to the Word [Jesus] Incarnate
Then it would logically follow that Mary is the Mother of God, since the Word is God.

Keep in mind that we aren't saying that Mary created the divine nature. But in the sense that since the Word is God and became flesh but is still God, and Mary gave birth to the Word, so Mary is The Mother of God. Just so you know, I still affirm that Mary is The Mother of Jesus' human nature, who [Jesus] is fully God and Man. Also since motherhood is about bearing a person, not just a nature, so Mary is the Mother of the Person who is God.
This aligns with the orthodox (meaning traditional or correct belief) teaching of the Council of Chalcedon. Which says:
"We, then, following the holy Fathers, all with one consent, teach men to confess one and the same Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, the same perfect in Godhead and also perfect in manhood; truly God and truly man, of a reasonable soul and body; consubstantial with us according to the manhood; in all things like unto us, without sin; begotten before all ages of the Father according to the Godhead, and in these latter days, for us and for our salvation, born of the virgin Mary, the mother of God, according to the manhood; one and the same Christ, Son, Lord, Only-begotten, to be acknowledged in two natures, inconfusedly, unchangeably, indivisibly, inseparably; the distinction of natures being by no means taken away by the union, but rather the property of each nature being preserved, and concurring in one Person and one Subsistence, not parted or divided into two persons, but one and the same Son, and only begotten, God the Word, the Lord Jesus Christ, as the prophets from the beginning have declared concerning him, and the Lord Jesus Christ himself taught us, and the Creed of the holy Fathers has handed down to us."
